Finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for–the playlist has arrived! I’m posting it early because I want all time zones to have access to this post before Valentine’s Day, and I’ve also got a busy weekend ahead of me (hello, 9-hour retail shift on Saturday!). Before we get to the good stuff, I’d like to thank you all for your participation. I enjoyed exploring your submissions, discovering new music, and reading your messages. I think this project as a whole was beautiful experience to be a part of. We all contributed a little piece of our hearts to this post, and here’s our result. Enjoy.
The other day, I started thinking about what songs I’d like to post for a Valentine’s Day edition of the ongoing LDR Playlist.
Then, I thought, “Why not share the love?” Literally.
I told you I’d be back today! You’re in for a treat. This addition to my ongoing LDR playlist features fun holiday tunes. All of the following holiday-themed songs were selected based off their ability to give me warm fuzzies, make me wistful, and/or remind me of my boo. Naturally, I am not naive enough to believe that any (or all) of these songs were written with long-distance relationships in mind, but since when has that stopped any of us from relating to things? With that, turn up your volume, and enjoy.
Hello, hello, internet! It’s been awhile.
Sorry I disappeared. Student teaching has the tendency to eat your life. However, I’m all finished with that, and now I’m waiting.
“For what?” you might ask. Continue reading
I said I’d post this week, so I’m remaining true to my word. I’m giving you something to listen to rather than to read, for gigantic teacher certification projects (edTPA, anybody?) have taken over my life at the moment. So, please sit back and enjoy the inaugural track of my LDR playlist.
“But wait, what’s the LDR Playlist?”
Great question, internet stranger!
Every so often, I will post a song. A track to a playlist housed in this blog, if you will. Each track will relate to either LDRs in general or my own LDR. I’ll be posting songs that relate to the heartache of distance/separation as well as songs that simply make me think of my own Euro-love.
With that, please enjoy The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” I’d explain my choice, but I think it speaks for itself.
Naturally, please note that I do not own this song, this video, or anything related to this lovely piece of media you are about to experience. Also, I picked the Doctor Who rendition because my boyfriend and I are both Whovians.
Until next time,
